Programs for Job Training
The Labor Council’s Workforce Development Department was created to open up opportunities for all of San Diegans to work in union jobs that provide livable wages and healthcare benefits.
For more than a decade, the Labor Council has exerted regional leadership by providing a highly effective range of job training programs to fill the need for well-trained workers who will be the union members of tomorrow.
Free Job Training
The Labor Council offers two free job training programs funded by the Department of Labor and the State of California that are designed to prepare individuals for careers in union building and construction trades. These programs are open to young adults between the ages of 18 to 24 years old.
