All across San Diego County this fall, union members are showing how to “Live United” by donating to the 2008-2009 United Way/CHAD Campaign.

You can all be proud that Organized Labor’s enthusiastic and ongoing support of the campaign is helping United Way improve the lives of thousands of our neighbors in need throughout our community.

This year’s campaign kicked off Sept. 9 with a huge celebration at the San Diego Hall of Champions.  You could sense a tremendous amount of energy that I believe will propel United Way to one of its best fundraising efforts in recent years.

For union members who have already given to United Way at your workplace campaigns—or who are planning to do so when your campaign runs in the coming weeks—we thank you for your support and hope you’re able to give just a little more this year. For union members who have never given to United Way, this is the year to change that and make a donation that shows you want to be part of the effort to improve lives in our community.

United Way's Department of Labor Participation and the San Diego-Imperial Counties Labor Council salutes the following unions and their members for their support of this year’s United Way/CHAD Pacesetter Campaigns at UPS, Kaiser Permanente, NASSCO and Solar.
