Safe Homes Program
Funded by the City of San Diego's Community Development Block Funds, the Labor Council's Safe Homes project offers free home repairs to low and moderate income homeowners of San Diego.
Safe Homes technicians provide invaluable services, materials and labor free of charge to mainly low-income seniors by installing basic home security devices, security screen doors, new dead bolt locks, carbon monoxide detectors, and exterior motion sensor lighting.
Technicians also provide basic home repairs such as repairing potholes, checking batteries in smoke detectors, and adjusting locks in windows and doors.
These free services greatly enhance the homeowner's safety and security in their neighborhoods, making this project a genuine service to low income seniors throughout the City of San Diego.
