Starbucks Workers United baristas across the country are strong and united. We're fired up and ready to do whatever it takes to secure a fair union contract and resolve unfair labor practices – including striking if necessary.

Join baristas in San Diego on Starbucks busiest sales day of the year, to make sure the company knows customers and community members stand with union baristas in their fight for a fair contract and an end to the company’s years-long union busting campaign. 

Starbucks can afford a fair contract. It would cost less than one day of sales. Let’s remind them that workers have receipts!

This event is part of a series of teach-ins to educate people about our current healthcare policy in the US and how to organize to win a National Single Payer Program.

The government shutdown is hurting real people:

• 1.4 million federal workers are working without pay or locked out of their jobs.

• 42 million people, including children and seniors, are at risk of losing food benefits (SNAP).

• Millions will lost their healthcare or have to pay up to double or higher to keep their healthcare if Trump and Republicans don't extend healthcare subsidies.

This isn't a political game—it's a crisis for workers and working families. Trump and Congressional Republicans can end this now, but they're refusing to extend healthcare subsidies that the working class needs.

We’re taking action to show Starbucks what’s at stake if they continue stonewalling us at the bargaining table. While CEO Brian Niccol’s “Back to Starbucks” plan flops with declining sales, understaffing, and frustrated customers, Starbucks workers are rising. Over 650 stores have unionized, and our movement is only growing stronger.

We’re fed up with corporate delays and unresolved unfair labor practices. Starbucks just blew $81 million on a Vegas party for managers, but claims it can’t settle a fair contract. Enough.

This practice picket is a warning: we’re organized, we’re united, and we’re ready to strike if that's what it takes to win the contract we deserve with better pay, more hours, and respect on the job.
